Harwood Institute Helps Shape Newest Public Radio Show: The Takeaway
Monday, April 28, 2008
(The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation) Today, for the first time in more
than two decades
a new national morning news show debuted on
public radio - The Takeaway with John
Hockenberry and Adaora Udoji. Through its 2008
Baltimore Public Innovators Lab,
The Harwood
Institute worked with The
Takeaway
staff and pilot station personnel to think
about how to create
a new kind of morning news
program. The Takeaway is a
co-production of WNYC and Public Radio
International, in collaboration with the
BBC World Service, New York Times Radio, and
WGBH Radio Boston and
will feature
live reporting, conversation and analysis of
the day's top issues and is
designed to expand and enrich the American
dialogue on key local, national and
global issues. The Harwood
Institute is proud to be a part of shaping The
Takeaway's unique
approach. You
can listen to The Takeaway at http://www.thetakeaway.org
and check
your station for time and
scheduling.
