New Hires Increase Harwood's Capabilities

As The Harwood Institute continues to provide more avenues for public innovators to communicate and create change, as well as with the imminent release of the follow-up to Citizens and Politics: A View from Main Street America, the organization hired new team members that will increase the efficiency of the organization, resulting in more palpable results for its partners and alliance members.

The organization's new National Alliance Manager, Jonathon Cannon joined the team at the end of 2011 after leaving his position as Director, Operation USO Care Package. In his new role with Harwood, Jonathon will drive local transformations on specific issues while creating national proof points that show change is achievable and hope is still alive within small communities.

Alisa Silverman joins Harwood as Network Manager, where she will develop networks to create the reach and ability to deepen and spread the Harwood approach. Alisa brings with her experience owning her own photo studio and working as Senior Director of Membership Engagement at JVillage Network.

Harwood's new Communication Manager comes to us from Las Vegas, NV after managing national public relations and marketing campaigns. In his new role, Jim Cooney will lead the media outreach efforts and communications strategy for Harwood's initiatives, creating awareness in national media outlets for the Harwood's products as well spreading the work of its affiliates and alliance members.

Feel free to reach out to the new members with any questions or just to welcome them to the Harwood family!
